Around The Ranch - Fall in The rockies
September and October are the most beautiful months of the year here in the four corners area.
The fall colors are peaking and the garden is winding down. We are harvesting the rest of the tomatoes and squash. The root crops are being dug and we are ready to plow up the garden. The irrigation system is being put to bed. Thank God!! I'm tired of irrigating.
The horses are starting to put on their winter coats and are finally getting some relief from the flies. With the cool mornings, they are really full of themselves, running and bucking across the fields. It's a sight to see.
I just got back from Thunder Bay, Ontario. What a beautiful place. The colors where just getting with it . We did A BLESS clinic there. It was the third year for me to be there and I am real proud of the work those people are doing. The horses were moving with relaxation and fluidity. It was fun to get on a couple of these horses and feel how soft and flowing they have become. Alot of the horses are able to now do more advanced lateral work , that will allow them be more engaged and lengthen their stride to the their greatest potential.
One of the students took tools that she had learned from the previous clinics and started her own filly. What a good start this filly had. I was real proud of the work that had been done so far on her.I can't wait to see her next year !!
