Here at the ranch, we are in the summer groove, irrigation of the hayfields, growing the garden, and training horses.

In the summer time,we can work the horses outside and take trail rides. We can do all of the arena work we want to , and that is a good thing , but there is nothing like long trail rides and wet saddle blankets to develope a well rounded horse. When you are out, they are exposed to so many things. Winter does not allow that luxury.

 I just returned from Divide Colorado. We did a BLESS clinic there, that was hosted by Lorrie Todd. What a host! She cooked some of the best food. the clinic was well attended and the horses were awesome. I saw great improvement in every horse and rider. People came from as far away as Texas  to participate. I'm honored that they came that far and I hope that they were able to take some good tools home in their toolbox.

 This weekend , we are hosting the first BLESS clinic at our home. We are doing a two day clinic and a guided trail ride on Sunday.On Saturday night , we are having a chuckwagon dinner with a cook that will cook the entire dinner over an open fire using dutch ovens, including the homemade bread. Yum!!

 summer is going by awfully fast. I hope yours is going well.
